The Final Elimination

It was my first and final elimination round before the Grand Finale and boy was i nervous and don’t let me even get started with the girls.
Dawn announced,
“If i am leaving, no hugs or what so ever cause i will cry.”
Not too long after that, Ming said, ” Last night i actually packed all my things already, i am all prepared. Pinky was close to bursting into tears and Juanita barely said a thing cause she looked nervous.
Of all the elimination rounds, this was probably the most nail biting one for the girls. And with the way the votes were coming in, no one knows what was gonna happen next.
The girls then prepared themselves and entered together to hear the verdict.
As usual, Elaine did her thing by commenting on each girl and then it came to the results.
Dawn was relieved from all anxiety when she was told she was the first to make it into the final 3
… and then there were three.
Elaine commented on Ming and out of the blue …
… Elaine paused and said that both Juanita and Pinky were safe.
The girls were in mixed emotions as Elaine said that Ming was leaving. Pinky couldn’t hold back and she hugged Ming. The other 2 girls were still in state of shock, both can’t imagine that they were in the final 3 and that Ming will be leaving.
Ming smiled as she left and all i could do was smile back.
To answer the question on who was my favourite … well it was Ming T.T Height might be an issue to a lot but Ming is definitely one to look out for in the future.
The three remaining girls then took a 5 minutes break and asked me about the final 3 outcome.
Just about a month back, when i wrote about Bella Lifestyle Photoshoot which was shot at Royal Selangor, i did mention who i thought would be in the top 3.
Besides that i have also being asked numerous times on whom am i rooting for and i think as i watch week by week, my choice would be as follows.
In no particular order: Dawn, Juanita, Pinky
Dark horse: Ming
Jerad then said he remembered this particular part, lol. Though i was rooting for Ming, i genuinely thought the top 3 were gonna be the 3 mentioned.
Dawn then replied, ” So scary lar you.” T.T
We then adjourned to the 2nd floor to bid our farewells to Ming.
I have been busy for the past 2 weeks and i didn’t have time to go thru each and every comment but i thought some comments were rather harsh on the girls. Past is past, why dwell on it ? I really had to agree with one comment which said, why badmouth about the girls rather than complementing on the ones your support.
As for Ming, she will definitely be remembered for her impromptu fashion advice and poses that looked effortless.

Juanita was never in the bottom three if you’d realise. She never even win any of the challenges. I don’t think she should win, sag boobs (re: white dress picture and last epi interview) and fake trying to be cool and all kills my appetite. Ming should’ve stayed longer. Juanita’s brother must be spending money voting for her just so he could drive the car if she wins. Not fair. Pinky deserves this though Dawn is a better model material.
I wish Juanita would just walk away peacefully, and just not make a sound at all.

look at the body language amongst the 4 of them, dawn, ming and pinky like 3 peas in a pod and juanita the ackward one out even though dawn has her hand around juanita’s waist.
can’t deny my dissapointment; but it is nice to have a mix of different ethnic backgrounds otherwise it can be a tad bit boring.
Jerad, I still blame you for saying Ming is boring, you’ve overlooked the fact she is multi-talented and not everyone is outspoken.
I don’t really think height is the main issue.
Juanita, the gods must be smiling on you. Dawn and Pinky I really hope one of you win.

Hy Mr Producer….next year maybe give more thot to the challenges and photo shoots and what they girls are expected to portray - make sure they person directing them gives them clear advice as to what is expected from them during the shoots…in this challenge what the fish does Escada got to do with Kids sport? Also the julie judge use the same sentence over and over again ‘give energy’ ‘ be happy ‘ - so vague…whoever comes up with the concept should have more experience and not ask the girls to do silly things like last week when they ask the girls to pretend the car was their husband….I mean what the FISH???

Juanita win challenge before lah..Jimmy fashion challenge..and she did well in Fly Fm PSA challenge and nearly won the Red Bull challenge..go and check la before you talk like miss know-it-all..I think each girl given chance to win one challenge..

Juanita’s brother is not that sort of a person! Juanita is doing all fine by herself and trying to do her best to achieve her dreams… rossea, what kind of a moron are you guys trying to drag people like that… anyway, i do think Ming leaving is a sad thing… she do have protential and evrything… but like the girls said in the video, she lacks the height. All the pictures of the girls are great, but it is the FINALE… Girls, keep up the good work… and to Juanita… All the best.

pinky’s seriously a pleasant surprise! i had negative thoughts about her at the open auditions but she really shone through throughout the competition!
dawn’s alright..nice girl, nice photos, girl next door..i dont really mind if dawn or pinky wins but deep down pinky would be my #1 choice. she has such a great personality and she’s REAL! always willing to learn and improve herself, which is very important in the modelling industry. pinky’s homecoming video touched me the most..sobs.
too bad i’m at overseas so i cant vote!

Actually, Juanita did win one challenge (the one for the trendy chic look). Jimmy even called her a “thinking” model because of her clothes can go feom day to night…Jimmy praised her black halter top, white shorts and silver bangle and earings and I love it too.I think for the challenges part, maybe all the girls were all given a chance to win. Juanita does deserves to be in Top 3 with the other girls. She works hard like them and maybe harder because she is the only one who has no modelling and competition experince. Anyway, the public voted, so she is Top 3 and I beleive she deserves it. Rossea, stop personally attacking her like you know her, because you really don’t know her! Juanita haters andbashers like to personally attack her and then you people call it contructive criticism - big difference people!!!! And I wish Ming stayed too but now she can start her modelling career and she’s going to do well. Anyway, good luck to the other girls too, but Juanita RAWKZ!!!!! YOU GO GIRL!!!!! YOU CAN WIN THIS!!!!

also, i think that the photoshoots are a tad boring and similar. producers, get some inspiration from ANTM ! more funky and unique themes! make the photoshoot themes more challenging and adventurous rather than having shoots like at the playground, at some cafe, in the car…..etc etc…it’s a lil boring hey…
the junkyard shoot looks great though! the makeup, outfits, hair…now thats more like a high fashion standard compared to the marie france, bella shoots…cant wait for the pics to come out!
also, i think julie’s a good judge but not so experienced at directing photoshoots i think. she uses the same words over and over again. get someone more crazy, creative and motivating to direct the shoots so the model potentials would unlock more!
elaine’s a great judge though! this season has improved from season 1..so keep up the good work!

The other girls had more camera footage, good or bad. Something tells me Ming took her father’s advice too literally, not naming names, in other words staying out of trouble. But staying out of trouble, playing too safe caused her her prolonged-stay. At the staircase, she looked uneasy telling the camera what she thinks she should have done, putting up a strong face. You could feel the tremble in her voice. This part is always emotional. This suits the category, “Saddest moment”. When Mings tells the camera something (wether is it a phonecall or an interview), she doesn’t watch out for her facial expression.
I was not pro Juanita but I like that she complimented Ming, for the first time I thought it sounded like she meant it. Because of this I am in favour of Juanita. On contrary to Ming, Pinky’s English did not deter her from speaking, that should be the spirit. I applaud her for that. What struck me is that there is no footage of Pinky’s comment on Ming. Juanita and Dawn said something but why didn’t Pinky. Intially I couldn’t see Dawn’s beauty, in time I saw she has a pretty face. I still don’t like the way she talks and her voice. All of them ought to present themselves the best they can when the camera is rolling. Everything counts.
It does not matter which 2 girls become runner-ups, they won’t win the title. They are just getting another chance, another photo to add to their portfolio, another week of experience. The three remaining girls deserve to go to the finals. However, I think Pinky is the next to go if there was another elimination round.
On the side note, now I see why Damian had a cap earlier on. *wink* Julie is not eloquent enough to direct the girls. The chosen venue for the Escada challenge was so wrong, nothing sexy, contemporary or incredible about childrens’ playground.
Looking forward to see the junkyard shoot. When they allocate the girls to pose together, it looks like one big orgy with their legs crossing one another. Funky hairstyle, vibrant leggings, rugged ambience….so much sex appeal.

Oh yeah, i like the legs in that shoot! Would have been nice if that part of the episode was longer
Its kinda obvious that they chose the playground for the shoot cuz the producers were paid to advertise it, went as far as to mention its in Bangsar Village… but its quite a wrong target market ain’t it? My guess is 70% or more of the viewers are youths, unmarried, with no kids
They should have chosen one of Juanita leggy poses in the playground, who cares if its too sexy? The castle one makes her look… the same… again

Ming, so sad to see you go. I always like to see the way you dressed in MDG. I like the black top and striped skirt combination. Very classy and so unique! All the best in your future endeavors.
Juanita, Pinky and Dawn are in the Top 3. Yeah! None more deserving that these 3 girls. I can’t be happier.
To all Juanita’s detractors, live with it. Please don’t judge someone just by watching a few videos, just by a photo. Judge her by whether you think she will look good on the runway, on print ads, on the TV screen.

Hmm, I voted a lot for you Ming. But is ok girl, you had gained lots and lots of experience from this right.
Guys, I dont see short as an issue. Ming is hardworking and I believe that you can do it. She was in a lot of photoshot and video commercial before this like watson, nokia, estee lauder finalist, ad many more.

Ming is better than juanita..the only reason she was voted off i think it’s because of what she said in the previous episode and most people are really disturbed and disappointed with that…her pics was not bad compared to the others..its what u said during the interview that seriously damaged you…even the scene of your phone call to your bf, u didn’t take it seriously…from a guy’s POV maybe he’s not mad but he’s seriously sad..that is 100% true, and ur smilling and giving funny faces…remember the audience will judge on what you do and react…and mayb thts the reason juanita got in over u; she’s more matured and professioan in that sense…mayb its a bit too late to say this but overall u have a bright future…cheers

i have to agree with bloob. the interview and telephone session are quite important. and yes i think it did put a slight dent on ming’s chance which was good enough to send her home.
i still do think she has a bright future ahead in terms of commercials and ads.

if u guys realise ming looks much better now.her skin is rediant and she put on a little bit of weight and her face looks pretty but her thighs and hands are big.so gal ur have to work out!other than that i think u did ur best and doesn’t mean u didn’t win the competition u won’t be successful.Just change abit of ur attitude and be careful with what u say in front of the camera because anything can be used against u.like what people always say kerana mulut badan binasa. take care :)

not insulting, but personally i don`t like juanita. i used to think that natasha was mean and stuff, but later on, i realized that juanita is very fake. she might have the height, but i don`t think she`s model material.
hmm i`ve been wondering for quite a while..why aren`t they followin america`s next top model as in the judges are the ones who pick who should stay and who should go and not based on the public`s vote cause it feels more like a popularity contest.

Its based on SMS voting to generate revenue for the show. That is why it is not based on the judges decisionn. I would think!

I hope MDG will have a twist in the next season and style it more like Tanya Bank’s “American Next Top Model” where some of decisions are made by the judges and some by the viewers but that would mean the company who produces this show will loss some sponsorship.
But at least it will be quite clear whether it is a quality or popularity contest. We all know the winner of MDG1 so did not deserve it!

Modeling is not for Ming, but I am very sure she does not want to pursue her career in runway modeling as well. She is better off with tv commercial and print ads. That, Im sure is her cup of tea which I can see from the blog that she is doing well with watsons and all. I saw her face in watson once and Im so happy that i actually know her (lol)
But, anyway Ming will always support you. I wish you all the best, I can see a huge potential in you..so embrace yourself. Hope to see you to be one of the famous ppl in malaysia.

Hi Kingston, yeah……sure..i will sure to be there.Why not…of cos it is not the elimination of Ming tat gonna stop me fr attending the grand finale.I was told by Ming tat all the MDGs will be doing the run-way and some dancing among the events before the final count down of the Winner.Gosh….i was really surprised, my friends and cousins told me tat i got alot of fans…leh..after the Home Coming video shooting.Wow..thanks alot man..ha.ha..ha..ha..i mean my `Fans`.I really hope to meet all of U(fans) ppl on the 15th of this mth at the CURVE..but pls..sorry tat I haven`t met u ppl b 4 so i guess u ppl come to me so I can personally thank-u (guys/girls) n hv a chat wit u ppl together wit my family member,ok!!!
Games over for Ming in MDG 2 but a new game awaits Ming tommorrow. It is only the beginning of her in this Modelling Industry..so I think the vitality of keepinp in touch wit her producer,the crew,the judges,all the contestants,the Agencies,Fans and Friends is so very important in order to target greater achievement.All the beat Ming.

Hi all,
First and foremost, I would like to thank each and everyone of you that have been with me through out the whole competition and actually supported me all the way. The warmest hug I would like to give is to all the crews and all my friends in the competition that are like family to me and been taking care of me through out. Last but no least, thank you so very much to my parents, friends and family that was standing right behind me to support me, advise me to be tactful and be strong throughout without dodging any obstacles but instead facing every single one of them with all my might. Thank you Dad for all that.
I was really surprise with the number of friends and fans that actually supported me all this while. You know what guys, I will never give up. Thank you for all the support again, I will try my best and my very best to show the utmost self of me and will never ever ever and I mean ever make you guys disappointed.
Like what I mentioned on MDG’s video, this is not the end of my path, this is just the beginning. You will definitely see what I have got to offer to this industry, and that’s for sure.
Again and again, I would like to thank all of you. You guys take care. I will see you guys on the 15th of May, I will be there and would like to catch up with you guys.
P/S: For those who have been visiting my blog, I will never stop blogging instead I will blog more about fashion tips and all. I would love if you guys have any ideas and any of fashion expression that you would like to let it out, do drop me a note.
And yeah, before I actually forget about the doubts that you guys have between me and the girls esp (Pinky), we are all good and we are the best of friends ever. Babes, I cant wait to hang out with you guys after the whole thing. Will see you guys soon, alright~!! All the best, and the best of luck. Muawwhh.

Somehow I got a feeling Juanita will win this competition. Even though alot ppl do not like her, she will win because those who do not like her will be voting for either Dawn or Pinky. Juanita will be the one who will benefit from the split support for Dawn and Pinky.

hmm..i guess it doesn’t matter who wins or not…the experience that these girls get during their time with MDG is a stepping stone for them to reach greater heights… Yes, the winner does get the car.. I had a dream to start my organization, nevertheless I did not earn enough of money to do that. Thank heaven my colleague proposed to utilize the mortgage loans. Thence I received the credit loan and realized my old dream.

If you want to buy a house, you will have to receive the loans. Moreover, my mother usually uses a bank loan, which supposes to be the most useful.
