The Makeover @ Shawn Cutler

Hey peeps!! I’m back with jaw-dropping-photos and mouth-watering-updates!!!
Forgotten how the top 12 finalists look like already?? Don’t worry, I have already inserted for you some photos to refresh your memory as this post promises a 180 degree transformation for most of the girls after a pretty long makeover in Shawn Cutler, the official Hair Salon for Malaysian Dreamgirl.

It was 11 in the morning when the girls finally arrived in Shawn Cutler and they did the normal coming-in-videoshoot after which, Shawn gave the girls a quick brief of what’s going to happen that day. The girls were pretty excited though. Natasha, who has the longest hair (which you should know by now) was especially excited about it. Just when most of us would thought Natasha would be the one crying for her hair to be chopped short, someone else did instead…

I’ll be presenting you with the before-and-after of each girls but just to keep your adrenaline pumping, I’ll only bring you the first 6 girls (in alphabetical order) in this update. Buckle up your seatbelts and prepare yourselves to continue reading on…
Top of the list is of course Acha. I thought she had a pretty decent long hair like most girl do and she was really cool about getting a new hair-do. Well, at least she’s up for it, whatever the outcome might be. Who knows what you’ll get at the end of the day? We’ll see. Here’s Acha before her haircut…

Next. Dawn has a nice side parting hair to her right. She was pretty excited about the makeover though except for the fact that she hope that her hair would not be cut short. What’s the verdict? We’ll find out soon. At the meantime, here’s her old style…

Denezia’s hair is pretty much like the two above except that she had a clip for her front fringe which kept her a little kiddy. Well, as innocent as she looks, she really hope that she could also keep her long hair and not having it short. Well, I asked myself, “why does everyone wants their hair long?”. I thought It would be really cool to see all of them changed their style like TOTALLY?? Anyway, here’s Denezia…

Farah!! *hints* As far as I’m concerned, through her, she has never had her hair, cut short. In fact, I think her hair is one of the healthiest. Real silky smooth. She’s one of those you would really want to see the outcome like NOW!! Scroll down your browser now! Haha. Here’s Farah’s pretty hair!

Juanita. All I can say is that her hair does matches her really well; before and also after the hair makeover. She seems to have that classy look of a model (that’s what I think okay? Different people differs in thoughts). Well, we’ll see what she get after the haircut! Here’s Juanita (pronounced as “wa-ni-ta”)…

Here’s Liana and her plain looking long hair. I really hope she would have the craziest makeover she can get though to transform her like totally. I thought she had potential. Honestly, I was quite disappointed with her final hairstyle. Not that it’s not nice but i wanted something really extreme!! LOL You’ll see what I mean down the post…

And so the transformation process begun….

No one ever said that being a model was easy. It may seem fun and cool but the things you have to go through is really tiring and one of the girls said, “one of the things I’ve learned so far is WAITING…” LOL It’s really a challenging career that one must endure in order to be successful. Besides, there are many things you might have to sacrifice. For example, this hair makeover made some of them sacrificed their few years of hardwork, keeping their long hair. Well, the hairstylists know what’s best for a model!!

And so, after enduring a few hours of hair makeover, here’s the final product!!!
First up is ACHA!!
Well, in this photo it may seem that hair is a little popped up at the side but actually it’s not really what it seems to be. Haha. Well, her new hair made her look younger and it’s quite modern looking too.
This is RED DAWN!!
She must have had the worst nightmare which turned out to be good!! Well, as much as she would miss her long hair, I think she looks great and different with this rocking hairstyle with dyed red!! Need a little more time to adjust the overall setting up but it’s really COOL!!
Still the long hair DENEZIA.
Well, she got what she hoped for. Still the same long hair. I thought this hairstyle did matched her but it would be better if there was more to her makeover. She’s happy with it anyway so… there you go!!
The new Sexy FARAH!!
*hints*. She was the one that actually cried for getting her long hair chopped off!! But seriously, it all paid off so well. I thought she had one of the hottest new hairstyle and she looked really great in short hair. Now she’s really ready to become a model!! Sometimes sacrifices do pay off!! She said that she was very happy and satisfied with the makeover!!
Hot Hot JUANITA!!!
She told me she hope that cutting short would make her look good. She asked me, “what do you think?” Let me ask you all, “What do you all think?”. I thought she had a fantastic haircut. It suited her so well that she looked even classier than her long hair!! Don’t you think so??
Still the charming LIANA!!!
Owh well. As much as I hope she would get a real extreme haircut, she was happy with this!! Got to agree with her. It’s nice with her still-the-same-long-hair but hey, sometimes changes are good!! The next time you go hair-do, must chop off your long hair also and see what we’ll get!! LOL
After drooling at the 6 of them. What do you feel about their new hair makeover? I thought it’s a great start for them in transforming themselves into a model-wannabe. At least, we can see some style in them that make them stand out a little bit. Malaysian Dreamgirl is afterall a grooming platform for young models.

Well, after thinking for a moment, I have decided to just break your anxiety and continue on with the rest of the 6 girls!!!! Afterall, I don’t want any of you to crack your brain with stress thinking what happen to the 6 of them. Anyway, here they are (in alphabetical order) before the hair makeover…
Maya as bubbly as she always is has quite a style of her own. In fact, you will be stunned with her hair makeover because she seriously does look like someone all of us know!! =D At the meantime, here’s her hairstyle before the haircut.

Well, I thought Ming has quite a bunch of hair. With that, she can definitely come out with lots of hairstyles. But what did the hairstylist did for her?? We’ll find out soon. Here’s Ming with a pretty decent hairstyle before the cut.

Natasha. Do I need to say anymore?? All of us already know she has the longest hair and everyone is expecting her to get a real-chopped-off-short makeover. What do you think? I promise you a stunning transformation as you scroll down your mouse down the page.

Pinky!! Let’s see if she gets her hair dyed pink! LOL Well, Pinky sure does have a real smooth hair like those you see in TV. A very typical chinese looking girl with long hair. She’s kind of dislike her new hairstyle. LOL We’ll see how it goes.

Rajvin. Well, honestly, I don’t see anything special with her hairstyle though. It’s just normal but what happens after the makeover?? =D Let’s hope for something really, really cool!

Don’t you think so?? Well, seriously, when she first glanced at me for a split second, I thought it resembled someone I know. *SNAP* I thought she look a little bit like Elaine Daly with that new look of hers!! HAHA.. Nice makeover!!
Curly MING!!
This is the new ming but old seriousness. Walao, everytime I ask her to smile for me also the same result come out wan!! LOL You need to learn how to smile for the camera girl!! Well, she was happy for the haircut and I thought it’s still pretty descent for her with that curly down end.
Stunning, STUNNING NATASHA!!!
I guess I do not need to make any more comments!! My photo says it all!! From the longest hair, I think she has now one of the shortest!! LOL I thought it was a terrific makeover for her with a total 180 degree transformation. A fresh new look for her!! Great!
Little Miss PINKY!!
She was a little disappointed though but she’s cool with it!! Well, for me I would prefer her long hair though. It matches her pretty well. As for the new makeover, it’s still look okay on her. It matches her feature!! Cute! LOL

Ermm.. I only see minor changes on her fringe though. I wanted something major for her but she’s happy having to keep her long hair. Owh well, maybe during the shoots, can set up to something different also. We’ll see!!
Sizzling SHASYA!!
She must be very satisfied with her hair makeover as you can see her happily posing for me!! LOL Not too bad!! More stylish for her I would say. Perhaps need to style it more during the shoot!!

[ lol ] if u think it’s shawn seafood corner, then how do u think with yourself?…u can be a model also. stick all brand all over your body. wearing cause of brand n dont have any fashion sense at all…this is modeling competition and hair style is important in modeling…with your so called fashion sense, better shut your mouth.

I think they shouldn’t shorten so many of their hair, because not everyone look good in short. Although I did like some of their make over.
By the way, I think it would be interesting to post their before and after, photo side by side. Because not everyone like scrolling up and down on a long post, especially those with slower internet connection. Just a thought. :)

Well, everyone knows that Shawn Cutler spells style, fashion, and creativity. So dressing up in their own personal style and to be portray an image of their own to people is no wrong.
They are professionals. You don’t wear a suit, a tie to claim yourself, ‘hey im a pro and i’m a stylist with my name flying shy high’.
So deal with your own fashion sense first mr/ms lol.
Anyway, I have to say that some of the girls definitely hadn’t been through the final stage of total make over when the picture (points above) was taken. Let us all be hungry at the same time be patient to see what the bloggers have to put forward for us here or in the videos this coming Thursday.

Who decided on which girl gets which hair cut btw? This makeover is disastrous! Everyone has the same haircut! Short, short and short! WTF?
Isn’t makeover supposed to make you look BETTER and not WORSE? Dawn looks good in her hair but most of the girls look better with their old hair.
What they should’ve done is, keep 3-4 girls with the best hair, just trim & colour, that’s it! No need to go DRAMATIC for EVERY GIRL.
This is so bad. Seriously.

Seriously, I prefer Farah with long hair. I met up with the girls the other day and I felt kinda disappointed seeing Farah with short hair. From side her hair looks very flat!! But from front wise I think it’s still acceptable la…Hmm….=(
But I really love Pinky, Ming’s and Shasya’s makeover!! Seriously!!
And the one I love the most is Juanita!!! Her makeover makes her look fresher and younger!! Very stylish too!! Good job Shawn!! =)

To be honest, I dont see any potential in Ming, Pinky, Farah and Rajvin. I dont think they should be even here in the competition. If this is the standard of a malaysian dream girl then.. god bless malaysia. I would love to see more of Maya and Dawn. Andrew abit disappointed with the 12 chosen finalist this year. Neway, Hope Maya or Dawn will walk away with the title.

Preti_Gal, though you brought Andrew out in your statement, but I could only agree with you on Rajvin. For me, those shouldn’t be here are Rajvin and Denezia. Sorry to say but with them both, it kinda gives me the feeling that ANY girl can go for this. The others are okay.
