Season Two of Malaysian Dreamgirl, the nation’s first online reality series, ended with a high note at Impiana KLCC Hotel and Spa recently.

The auditions saw eager young women aged 17 to 28 from Penang, Ipoh, Johor Baru and Kuala Lumpur trying out for a chance to make their dreams of being a model come true.

On the last day of auditions at the hotel, a crowd had already gathered before registeration was officially open.

The excited participants waited patiently for their turn to meet face to face with the judges, for a spot in the next round.

As the contestants took their turns to audition one by one, they were asked simple questions and to show their catwalk skills.

Those who failed to impress the judges were clearly disappointed, while successful contestants were elated they had sucessfully made it to the next round.

The 28 contestants who passed the first round of auditions will once again face the scrutiny of the judges in closed auditions for a spot in the finals between March and April.

Contestants who make it to the final 12 will have the chance to experience a crash course on modelling and navigate through various challenges with the other contestants for two months.

“We went nationwide this year with auditions in Penang, Ipoh and Johor Bahru. However the Kuala Lumpur auditions were by far the most successful.

“We were raring to pick our top 12,” said chief executive officer of Capxion Media, Jerad Solomon.
